Sample 1:- Describe an occasion when you lost something.

Imagine that one day in June, I lost my wallet, which contained my ID, credit cards, and a small amount of cash. The loss occurred while I was running errands in the city, visiting various shops and cafes throughout the day. Due to the numerous locations I had been to, and it was challenging to pinpoint exactly when and where the wallet had gone missing.

Upon realizing that my wallet was missing, I retraced my steps, visiting each of the places I had been to earlier in the day. I asked the staff at each establishment if anyone had found a wallet and left my contact information in case it was discovered later. In addition, I searched my car and the surrounding area thoroughly to ensure it had not been dropped or misplaced nearby.

Simultaneously, I decided to take some precautions. I contacted my bank and credit card companies to report the loss, and they promptly froze my accounts to prevent unauthorized transactions. I also filed a report with the local police station to inform them of the lost wallet and the contents it held.

Throughout this ordeal, I would have likely felt a mix of frustration, anxiety, and disappointment. Losing a wallet can be quite distressing, as it not only involves the loss of valuable items but also raises concerns about identity theft and financial security. Despite my efforts to find the wallet, there would have been a lingering sense of unease until the matter was resolved. Ultimately, this experience would serve as a reminder of the importance of being mindful of one’s belongings and taking necessary precautions to safeguard personal information.

Sample 2:- Describe an occasion when you lost something.

I lost my favourite necklace a few months ago. It was a simple gold chain with a small heart pendant, but it was very special because my mother gave it to me on my 16th birthday.

I lost it when I was out shopping with my friends. We were in a crowded mall, and I must have taken it off to try on a shirt or something. When I went to put it back on, it was gone. I looked everywhere for it, but I couldn’t find it.

I was really upset when I realized I had lost it. I felt like I had let my mother down. I also felt like I had lost a part of myself. That necklace was a symbol of our love, and now it was gone.

I tried to retrace my steps but couldn’t find them anywhere. I even went back to the mall the next day to look for it, but it was no use. It was gone.

I eventually came to terms with the fact that I would never see my necklace again. But I still think about it sometimes, and I still miss it. It was a very special necklace, and I’m sad that I lost it.
