Many People Feel that Media Coverage Has Become Increasingly Biased Today. Why Is This? What Can Be Done to Fix This Problem?

🎓 Media is a powerful message tool that is unbelievably fast in reaching viewers or audiences across the globe through several coverage modes like television news channels, advertisements, radio broadcasting, newspapers, the internet, and social media. Undoubtedly, the impact on the audiences can be significant, varying their thoughts as they absorb the news and information displayed to them. 📺📰🌐

Media bias is a term correctly used for journalists or news reporters who display information at their convenience, deciding the direction and coverage of the news to benefit their companies by garnering attention from viewers. Media bias has been widely disputed among several nations. There has always been a debate on the quality content of the news shown to the audience, which can alter their thinking on a particular piece of information provided to them in the form of news. 🎤🗞️

People in the media know how a single piece of information displayed assertively may not impact the audience as much as news with extra spice would. So, they have been working smartly on how to spread their news to audiences with greater noise. Apart from how it is delivered, the news coverage selection also plays a key role in benefiting their companies. These tactics are used as media competitors are increasingly rising, with the media field expanding recently. To be the best in the market, such tricks are helpful for them to make audiences stick to their channels for information and news. 📣📡

The downfall of media bias for audiences is that they only view or hear the news that the media wants to display or announce, and they are deprived of other important, assertive news or information that could be useful in their day-to-day lives. It is observed that news frequently comes from big cities or towns, leaving us unaware of what is happening in remote villages or districts. We hardly hear about farmers struggling when there is less rain in the region or if resource depletion supports farming. We are less receptive to knowing about the struggles of the poor and needy over little things which, if covered and displayed by the media, could be abundantly helpful for them. 🚜🌾🏘️

As we know, we can voice our concerns and ask questions. Nowadays, with the power of social media like Twitter, we can raise these concerns in a larger forum and gather support to change the face of the media, aiming for more comprehensive coverage. We have different sections for sports, entertainment, robbery and theft, murders, natural disasters, and politics. Likewise, we can also have sections for agriculture and farming news, the army, navy, and aircraft. 🗣️📱

Media coverage bias should be uprooted completely by accepting wider sections for displaying news and information across all sectors. 🌍📺📰
