Modern Lifestyles Mean that Many Parents Have Little Time for Their Children (1)

Modern lifestyles mean that many parents have little time for their children. Many children suffer because they do not get as much attention from their parents as children did in the past. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Children are a dearer and most precious gift by the Almighty, and parents are blessed with. However, in today’s busy lifestyles, parents have very little time or no time to spend with their offspring. I personally agree with the above argument because this lack of attention affects their overall development, and they suffer from some emotional and mental issues in later life.

World’s gradually soaring inflation has forced both parents to choose work to fulfil the materialistic needs of their family. Therefore, being busy with their work prevents them from spending quality time with their children. This results in the unhealthy upbringing of their little ones. Research done by Oxford University in child psychology has proved that children become more vulnerable to the feeling of isolation and mental diseases like depression and bipolar disorders when their parents fail to give desired warmth, care and love to their kids.

In the older days, even though there were limited sources of livelihood, parents were satisfied with their lives, and they had enough time to spend with their offspring. Hence, positive behaviour like maturity, understanding and sincerity had been seen in their character, which makes them successful in achieving their goals. Moreover, the Intense engagement of parents in children’s activities also make their relationship strong. Nevertheless, it is proved that new spring demands emotional needs more than material needs.

All in all, the aforementioned arguments prove that children and their childhood are as innocent as love. Therefore it should be re-lived and enjoyed by the parents of their children.
