Computers are widely used these days for personal as well as professional. Everyone has their own thought process. Few people believe that computers are the biggest barrier rather than help while the rest of human says that it gives the upward direction to the potential. This includes banks, schooling, medical, home, hospitals, food and so on. In this essay, we will put some light on how computers could be an impediment for people.
Nowadays, many people have an addiction to the computer and the Internet. However, they do not manage their personal as well as social life. Without a computer, they trust that they don’t continue their studies as well as their profession. For instance, In this pandemic, those who belong to the IT department cannot work while the Internet has been interrupted. This over-reliance could bring catastrophic results, especially in sensitive sectors. A simple mistake in an atomic energy research centre can destroy millions of lives.
On the other hand, excess usage of the computer gives a very risky effect on the eyes of children. One of the examples is the solar radiation from the computer screen, which damages our eyesight. It has been reported that the number of people who wear glasses has increased significantly since the invention of computer technology. With the invention of portable computers, tablets and smartphones, people remain busy with their own devices. They use the Internet all day long in their room and scarcely take part in outdoor activities.
In conclusion, although some people think that computer technology has brought a lot of benefits to mankind, others think that it has more negative sides. Some of the reasons for this view are because of people’s overreliance on technology and negative effects on our health and social life as well.
