In the modern era, a number of people think that individuals are more dependent on each other, while some believe that people are more independent nowadays. In this essay, I will discuss both sides and give my opinion in the conclusion.
The foremost argument for those who believe people are more reliant on each other is that many children depend on their parents for education, money, accommodation, and so on. Secondly, people are more ambitious, which is why they depend on their parents for support and other things. In addition, people depend on services like food delivery to their doorstep. Therefore, people are dependent on each other in many ways. Hence, in a connected world, people are more reliant on each other.
On the other hand, many believe that people have more freedom compared to the past. Firstly, many individuals move to foreign countries for education or job opportunities, allowing them to travel anywhere in the world. Secondly, many people prefer to live and work alone because they enjoy or need their privacy and freedom. This independence is possible in today’s world. For instance, traveling alone globally without restrictions is an example of independence.
To conclude, although many people believe that people are more dependent on each other today, I believe people have more freedom compared to the past. People can live in any country and travel worldwide, making them more independent in the modern world.
