The given graphs show data about seven sources of complaints received from customers and employees for bank of America and the number of months taken to investigate and take final action between 2000 and 2004 over a four-year period.
Overall, most of the grievances were received from the public and in the initial years, it took more time to resolve.
It is interesting to note that in the pie chart, more than half of the grievances (63%) are from the general public. In terms of complaints, government agencies, out of state and insurance companies are almost similar, accounting for 11%, 10% and 8%, respectively. The
grievances received from media (3%), bank employees (3%) and others (2%) are negligible.
From the bar graph, in 2000, the number of months taken to resolve an issue is less than 6 months, whereas it took more than 6 months in the next year. In the following year, the time taken to address a complaint is approximately 5 months. In 2003, time was increased to resolve a problem which is close to 6 months. In the final year, the number of months to solve an issue decreased to nearly 4.5 months.
