The bar chart illustrates the percentage of businesses in the UK that had a social media presence from 2012 to 2016. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart represented information about the proportion of corporations using social networking sites for businesses purpose over four years in the United Kingdom. There are three categories of self-employment (Small, Medium & Large businesses) from 2012 to 2016.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Social media were most used by large business firms from 2012 to 2016. Furthermore, all types of businesses usage of social media all underwent an upward trend over the given period.

Firstly In 2012, the percentage of large businesses making use of social sites was the highest at a staggering 78%. Meanwhile, Medium and small businesses, compared to make less use of social networking sites as these figures accounted for approximately 32% & 27%, respectively. Over the next two years, there was a tiny drop of 2% in a large corporation for using social media. On the other hand, small & medium firms using social sites for business purposes witnessed a steady increase to 35% and 48% in turns.

Lastly, after hitting the bottom of 55% in 2015, large businesses’ usage of social media suddenly surged to 79% in 2016. A similar trend was monitored in small and medium businesses firm, as these figures declined to 30% in 2015, then improved to around 50% at the end of the period.
