The Diagram Shows how Rainwater Is Collected for The Use of Drinking Water

The Diagram shows how rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrates how Australian Town collects rainwater to process in order to use as drinking water. Comprehensively assembled rainwater from the house has been processed by being filters and then being treated with chemicals before use in daily consumption.

Initially, the rain which drops down on the rooftop is collected by the gutter and then runs down the pipe at the side of the house into the drain at the bottom. Each house accumulates rainwater in a similar way, and further, it’s passed along underground drains to the water filter.

The water filter removes any impurities from the rainwater passing through inside & once it has properly filtered, it continues along the pipes to a storage tank. Furthermore, water goes from storage to the water treatment with one single conduit. At this stage of the process, chemicals are added to the water for purification in order to make it fit for consumption. Once water is treated and made ready for drinking, it travels along the pipes that lead back to the house, where people can use it for drinking or further use.
