With the increase in the use of mobile phones and computers, fewer people are writing letters. Some people think that the traditional skill of writing letters will disappear completely. To what extent do you agree or disagree? How important do you think it is?
Ans: With technological advancement, more people indulge in using gadgets for various work. Some people think while more usage of machines will reduce the traditional way of writing letters. However, I believe that writing letters play a huge role in several industries, so it will never diminish.
Undoubtedly, these days most people prefer to use mobile phones for their official as well as personal work. This is the easiest and fastest way to communicate and distribute data. Many people believe that the traditional skill of writing letters will disappear in future because of technological advancement. To cite an example, Multinational companies use the soft form of letters usually they prefer to send online letters when they recruit employees or give them any kind of notice.
However, It will be not fully extinct in future because writing letters are used in government organizations in India. People save these letters as proof when they issue any kind of letters like an offer letter for a job or any complaint letter. To quote an instance, In an electricity letter, whenever a person has to complain, they have to write a letter and submit it to a department. In many universities, there is a need to write letters that keep safe as a record.
Moreover, writing a letter to our family and friends is a way to show care and love toward the person. A written letter has such kind of emotion which passes from writer to reader, which is replaced by any text or images. On top of it, on the person’s birthday, writing a letter give them happiness which is never replaced by any text message.
Overall, although most people prefer to use mobile phones and computers for communication as well as for professional work, however, I believe that traditional writing skills play a pertinent role in several ways in human’s life.
