You Are Living Overseas and You Have Just Come Across an Article About Your Country in A Magazine Where Some of The Information is incorrect. Write a Letter to The Editor. In the Letter, You Should:
- Explain that An Article Contains Wrong Information
- Supply the Correct Information Instead
- Provide Some More Interesting Information for The Editor to Publish in The Future
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to inform you that some information written regarding India in the article in the magazine’s last month’s edition is not accurate.
Let me explain to you in more detail. I read your magazine every month, and I came across this article related to India in last month’s edition. Though the article is very beautifully written, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that information regarding Somnath temple is wrong. It is written that it is situated in the East, but the temple is actually situated in the West. And there is also misleading information about the major diet of Gujarat’s people. The majority of Gujaratis are vegetarian, but in the article, it is written they are non-vegetarian.
I would also like to give you some interesting information about the Navratri festival, which is famous in my country. This festival lasts for nine days, and people worship different forms of Lord Durga, and they keep fast. At night, they wear traditional clothes and do ‘garba’, which is a form of traditional dance.
I would like to request that you reprint the article with the correct information. Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
