Young people have different ideas and attitudes than their parents and grandparents. What are the differences, and what problem may it cause?
In the contemporary era, youngsters have various notions and attitudes as compared to the previous generations. In this essay, I would like to discuss the differences between young people and the elderly and the problems associated with this phenomenon in the subsequent paragraphs.
To begin with, firstly, young people live in an era of globalization and technology. As a result, they can learn anything in an effective way and faster manner. Secondly, today’s youngsters are competing with the whole world, and they would like to face new challenges and pass through the un-trodden path to reach success in life. Thirdly, many teenagers now choosing different careers such as web designers and multi-media developers. Unlike earlier generations who stick to one job for the rest of their life and they do not want to leave their comfort zone. Finally, they are adopting a global culture, which is making them.
There are some menaces due to the differences between the generations. To begin with, because of globalization, young people are adopting the throw-away culture, always running behind the new trend. It has detrimental effects on society and the environment. In this consumerist society, youngsters have become workaholics to live a life of luxury and comfort. Some teenagers who could not secure high-paying jobs are involving in petty crime and robbery to satisfy their desires and needs. Some people are addicted to alcohol and drugs due to the international culture.
To conclude, I reiterate my opinion that young people have a lot of opportunities and can learn more as compared to their parents and grandparents. But if it is not utilized properly, then it has detrimental effects in the long run.
