You Missed Attending a Friend’s Invite. Write a Letter to Your Friend:
- Apologize for Not Coming.
- Explain how Did You Try to Contact Him/her.
- What Is the Alternate Plan?
Dear Pooja,
Hey! How’s it going with you? Firstly, I would like to congratulate you and Chirag for getting engaged and having a beautiful ceremony last week. I saw your pictures on social media, and let me tell you, you looked so beautiful and radiant with a bright smile in all the pictures. You guys look so amazing together. I missed out on your stellar event, and I am deeply apologetic about it.
I am writing this letter because I tried calling you once, but I understand you might not have checked your phone before the engagement day and could not reach you multiple times later. My dad was suddenly hospitalized due to a decrease in his platelet count, and my presence was needed throughout since my brother was out of town. My mother and I were managing all the hospital formalities, right from his medications to the medical coverage and reimbursements. He is recovering well, and we got him home yesterday.
I wished I could have been part of your engagement ceremony; nevertheless, my mother asked me if you and your fiancé could join us for a quiet dinner where you could share your memories. We can enjoy these little moments again.
Please accept my sincere apologies, and I hope you visit us soon. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Yours Truly,
