Some people believe that everyone has a right to have access to university education and that governments should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Education helps us to learn new things and develop a sense of innovation and creativity. Few individuals opine that study should be given freely to everyone by ignoring their financial background because it is q right of people. This essay disagrees with this statement to some extent due to some reasons which are discussed in the following paragraphs.
The critics argue that education should be given free of cost because it helps poor people to be educated. Nowadays, a study is mandatory for individuals to get success in their life. In contrast, it is very expensive these days, and everybody cannot afford it. Moreover, people who live below the poverty line are hardly able to manage their basic expenses. Therefore, they cannot pay a huge amount of money for education. Hence, it should be available free to everyone.
The intellectual says that education should be charged because it helps to increase the gross domestic product of the nation as everybody knows that there is no limit to education and people can do study at a higher level as well. Moreover, Government has put taxes already on the fees of courses. Thus, if a person wants to study, then he has to pay taxes also.
Moving further, if education is charged, then employment will also be increased as the study is a basic need for every nation. In the modern era, it is almost impossible to provide education without any institution, university or school. As a result, the job opportunities would be inclined, and more people would join colleges and education centres to provide education to the student or children. Hence, fees should be imposed on the study.
To encapsulate, undoubtedly, education should be provided to everyone because it is a right. However, the fees on the study should be there for the development of the country.
