The Best Way to Make the Road Transport of Goods Safer Is to Ask Drivers to Take a Driving Test Each Year. to What Extent Do You Agree or Disagree?
🚗 Nowadays, safety is a paramount requirement of human life. Some people consider that to make transport safer, conducting driving tests every year for drivers is essential. In my opinion, I agree with this statement for safety reasons as well as to keep drivers updated.
There are many challenges to conducting regular driving exams every year. First and foremost, the requirement for testing infrastructure is limited in many countries. Additionally, it is a time-consuming and costly process for governments and individuals. For example, in our fast-paced world, people have less time to devote to recurring driving tests, making it quite challenging for everyone. For instance, a recent survey conducted by the “Times of India” revealed that 95% of people do not like appearing for driving tests multiple times.
Despite the drawbacks of conducting driving tests annually, this approach has significant benefits. Road accidents are increasing daily; therefore, regularly conducting tests is beneficial for road and transportation safety. In this modern world, technology in cars and other vehicles is updated frequently, and staying current with these advancements is crucial for drivers. Japan is a prime example of this; according to Japanese transportation law, appearing for a test every year is compulsory. Consequently, the number of road accidents in Japan is lower than in many other countries.
In conclusion, recognizing the drawbacks of annual driving tests, it is clear that conducting them is indispensable for increasing transportation safety.
