Sample 1:- Describe a time when you helped a child.

In the summer of 2019, I had the chance to help a child named Emily, who was facing challenges with her science project. Emily was a 9-year-old girl from my neighbourhood, and I had known her family for quite some time. When her parents asked if I could assist her with her school project, I immediately agreed, as I believe in fostering children’s curiosity and understanding of the world around them.

To begin, I sat down with Emily to understand the requirements of her science project and discuss her ideas. We brainstormed together and eventually decided on a topic that she was enthusiastic about. The project involved creating a model of the solar system, which required not only a thorough understanding of the subject but also hands-on skills to build the model.

Over the next few weeks, I guided Emily through her research by providing her with resources and helping her understand complex concepts in a simplified manner. We also gathered materials and created a detailed plan for constructing the model. During the entire process, I made sure to encourage her creativity and problem-solving skills.

The primary reason I helped Emily was to ensure that she could overcome her difficulties and develop a genuine interest in science. I wanted her to understand that with dedication, hard work, and the right guidance, she could excel in any field she chose to pursue.

Upon completion of the project, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and satisfaction. Witnessing Emily’s knowledge, confidence, and creativity growth was gratifying. Her excitement and pride in her accomplishment reaffirmed my belief in the power of education and the importance of supporting and encouraging children.

Sample 2:- Describe a time when you helped a child.

I was in the grocery store one day, and I saw a young boy sitting on the floor by the candy aisle. He looked like he was about 5 or 6 years old, and he was crying.

I went over to him and asked him what was wrong. He told me that he had lost his mom, and he didn’t know where she was.

I told him not to worry and that I would help him find her. I asked him what she looked like, and he told me that she had long brown hair and blue eyes.

I started walking around the store, looking for a woman who matched the description he had given me. After a few minutes, I saw a woman who looked like she could be his mom. I went up to her and asked her if she was the boy’s mom.

She said yes, and she was so grateful that I had found her son. She told me that she had been looking for him everywhere, and she was starting to get really scared.

I told her that it was no problem and that I was just glad that I could help. I felt really good about helping the boy find his mom, and I’m glad that I was able to make a difference in his life.
