Explain Some of How Humans Are Damaging the Environment. What Can Governments Do to Address These Problems? What Can Individual People Do?
It goes without saying that environmental devastation is a rising concern across the globe; humans must take responsibility for various environmental problems and pollution due to the rapid growth of innovations that have adverse effects on nature. However, there are several factors responsible for their problem, which I would like to explain in this essay and suggest some ways forward.
The first reason is deforestation, which is a prominent factor that affects the environment closely. This spread of human habitation and urban exaggeration is one of the main causes of deforestation. In other words, some land is no longer fertile due to pollution, so forests must be used for agricultural plantations. For instance, due to the speed of the world’s population soaring, there is a need for more space in agricultural land to extend their life dependency. Apart from that, fossil fuels such as oil, gas, and coal are used in several errands, such as electricity generation for the industrial and private sectors. In addition, road traffic emissions from various modes of transport frequently spiked over the years and spoiled the natural ambience with an increase in the intensity of carbon monoxide and other harmful toxins gas. For example, in a recent survey conducted in New York, air pollution affected the ozone layer tremendously, and more than 20% of the air pollution was damaged. As a result, the UV rays of the sun destroy the natural environment from the core.
The solution is not simple. Therefore, these steps have to be taken on a war footing. The first possible solution is for the government to curb the feelings of trees by introducing better laws and banning cutting down the forests. Moreover, the government should ensure the reforestation of areas that have been affected. In other words, people need to contribute by recycling products and making an effort to improve the condition of nature. Furthermore, the second feasible solution is to limit the number of cars on the road by increasing taxes on petrol, improving transport, and encouraging the community to use green energy to preserve the natural environment for future generations.
