The bar chart provides the information about how many homes have been build in Derby and Nottingham, over the nine-year period from 2000 to 2009

Overall, in both cities number of homes had a growing trend. However, Nottingham fluctuated throughout the period. As can be observed from the graph, Nottingham had more numbers homes than Derby in 2000, which were 50. After two years, numbers declined to just more than 20 homes.

Moreover, it went up every year and reached to its peak point to 250 homes per year in 2009; expect 2006 and 2008, where there was a hard adobes construction. Concerning Derby, it almost had the same number of houses built in initial years, just below 50. Between 2003 and 2007 the number of new houses was nearly the same, about more than 100. In 2008 it swiftly rose to more than 270 homes, which was three times more than in a former year. 350 houses were built in the last year, which was the highest number than another city.
