Sample Answer of Describe a Person Who Contributes to Society. Speaking Cue Card

hank You for the cue card. I am going to talk about a person who contributes to society. Well, in this modern living society everyone is selfish to help others because of their own work and busy life. But still, there are few people who think of other persons and help them in their need without expecting from them. Here I would like to talk about the great film actor Sonu Sood. He is not only an actor, but in recent times he was in more discussion, especially in this pandemic situation. Everyone loses their jobs in this hard time and cannot get through this. In these hard times, he contributes to society in many ways, like providing jobs to jobless people and giving free food and shelter to needy ones. Those who are affected with covid and cannot afford hospital bills and treatments, he stood beside them and helped financially. I have seen in many social accounts like Twitter whoever tweets on his account for help immediately after a few minutes his team, or he will be retweeting and making necessary arrangements to help them. He was a very gentle, kind and selfless person, and I was proud that he is from India country that not only made his name in the industry but also he won many hearts of the people by his selfless acts and providing social services too. He was an inspiration to many people and youngsters in my country.

Question 1:- Do people nowadays help others more than in the past?

Answer:- When compared to the past, people are more selfish, and even they are not helping the people in their own family. I feel that people from the past, like grandparents, were more
energetic to participate in social events and provide services and conduction campaigns like blood donation, serving the needy ones. To answer your question, people in the past helped others when compared to the present

Question 2:- What types of people (parents, teachers, friends, etc.) are best to influence young people’s behaviour?

Answer:- I feel that parents, teachers, friends play a vital role in their children’s and student lives. We cannot judge by taking one category because children used to stay more than 5 hours with teachers and more than 8 hours with parents. Each one influences in their own way everyone takes equal part in that.

Question 3:- In what kind of professions do people help others more?

Answer:- I believe that it depends upon the person rather than a profession, but if I have to choose one, then I feel doctors are the ones who provide treatment to the people and help them to overcome their problems associated with their health. Nowadays, some good doctors are even providing free treatment to contribute to society.

Question 4:- What are some of the ways people can help others in the community? Which is most important?

Answer:- There are many ways in which people can help others, like providing free education to students of poor people who cannot afford their education and looking after old age homes and providing some free groceries monthly to them.

Question 5:- Why do you think some people like to help other people?

Answer:- Some people like to help others because of their poor financial status and their kind personality. For example, a friend of mine always believes that if we help others in their hard time, it will definitely get reflected back to us, and someone who doesn’t know also will help us in our problems.

Question 6:- Some people say that people help others in the community more now than they did in the past. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

Answer:- I disagree with the statement because I have seen many live examples in my life. One among them is a family who refuses their old parents to stay with them, and even financial help is also not willing to provide. So I feel that even they are helping their own parents, then how can they provide services or help to society.

Question 7:- What types of services, such as libraries or health centres, are available to the people who live in your area? Do you think there are enough of them?

Answer:- In my area, mostly health services are available as at least one hospital in the street. Most private hospitals are available near my area, and some are first aid centres, and a few are speciality hospitals such as orthopaedic centres cardiology centres. There are very few library services available in my area. I think only one is present, which is 2 km away from my house.

Question 8:- Which groups of people generally need the most support in a community? Why?

Answer:- As per observation and experiences I have seen, old age people need more support in terms of financial and mental health and physical health too. For example, old people are suffering from diabetes and blood pressure. They at least need to visit the hospital once a month, so this time, physical support is needed to take them. Moreover, they feel very lonely in their homes as their children are busy in their work-life, so in this scenario, they need some companion to look after or to talk with them. This time they need mental support.

Question 9:- who do you think should pay for the services that are available to the people in a community? Should it be the government or individual people?

Answer:- I think both the government and individuals have the responsibility to pay for some services. We cannot throw on one to afford services because if government bears the whole amount, then it affects the country’s economy, and if individuals afford the whole amount, then they may not get other bills to pay. So, services like library and hospital need to be maintained by the government and individuals have to look after other things

Question 10:- What type of people influence the young in your country?

Answer:- In my country mostly parents and teachers influence the younger generation because they spend most of their time with these two categories of people. To maintain good health and physical activity, the whole responsibility lies on parents, and when it comes to behaviour and academic education, teachers have to look after it.

Question 11:- Why it is important to have role models in our life?

Answer:- People have a large network nowadays and meet so many people of different age groups. In this journey, some people have admiration for others because of their capabilities and their behaviour, so they take them as role models and follow them in every aspect. So to achieve goals in life, one should have role models who effectively work.

Question 12:- Do you think the education system in your country influences young people’s behaviour?

Answer:- I feel that education in my country influences young people in positive and negative ways. Sometimes people are more focused and follow each and every rule to fulfil their goals, and sometimes it puts more stress on people to get through. These days education system is totally concentrating on grades rather than providing practical knowledge to students.
