Some People Think that A Sense of Competition in Children Should Be Encouraged

Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Yes, it’s true, there are some people who support cooperative thought, and there are also people who encourage competitive nature for their children. However, the number of people supporting competition is more comparatively cooperative. And this encouragement surely affects their overall thinking and nature.

Every parent wants their children to succeed in their life, and they feel encouraging them more competitively will help them to grow and achieve their goals. These types of parents become so selfish that they don’t even think how such natures will affect their kids’ overall thinking. A more competitive nature makes children self-centred, though it helps them to be focussed on their goals, but it also makes them arrogant, egoistic and kills their innocence. It increases aggressiveness, and they can go to any level to defeat others. I do not think we need such people in our society.

On the other hand, encouraging more cooperative thought makes them succour, they respect others, and they are always ready to help those who are in need along with focusing on their own career goal. Such thought helps them to be more friendly and improve their social engagement, and also makes them emotional. And these aspects support them to be responsible citizens. And not to forget they are more successful in their career also as compared to the children who are more competitive in nature.

However, in my opinion, we must encourage cooperative thoughts instead of ruthless. I believe we need responsible people in our future society, not aggressive ones. To make this change, parents need to be more responsible so that they can support their kid’s nature in a positive way.
