Overall, it is apparent that females have more literacy rates than males in all the regions. Meanwhile, South Asia is leading with the highest literacy rates for both genders, whereas the least literacy rates are from the developed nations.

From the graph, the developed countries have the lowest rates, which are approximately below five for both genders. Moreover, the Latin-America/Caribbean nation has just under 12 for both genders even though East Asia/Oceania has slightly under 20 literacy rates for females, whereas just under 10 for males.

On the contrary, the remaining nations, Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab states, and South Asia, have numerous literacy rates when compared to the remaining nations. However, the male literacy rates are approximately 30 for the three nations, whilst the female literacy rates are varied.
