The Environmental Problems that Today’s World Is Facing Are so Great

The environmental problems that today’s world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So governments and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

The world is faced with a crisis. Some individuals claim that the general public can do nothing to mitigate the circumstances leading to the environmental problems; as such, governments should intervene to prevent further destruction of the environment. This essay will argue why humans should work in the forefront to prevent further destructive activities to the land, with the national administration supporting their efforts.

According to some people, humans cannot help in reducing the grave destruction that has been done to the environment. Such individuals are justifiably worried about the extent of harm that has already been performed on the once beautiful planet and the evident harsh effects that have befallen the environment. The world naturally feels threatened because individual efforts to help heal the planet will not equate with the rapid rate at which the land is deteriorating. Indeed, there have been a myriad of disasters like floods, droughts due to the heightened environmental destruction. These numerous disasters have led some citizens to believe that, for the environment to recover, national administrations and large corporations should join efforts to curb further devastation of the planet.

It is certainly true that the world is faced with several problems when it comes to dealing with environmental issues. However, the numerous events leading to the degradation of the land are due to human activity. That is having been said; humans should begin employing various measures to conserve the planet and prevent further damage. Harmful practises such as deforestation and afforestation, land and air pollution, and veld fires need to be controlled at an individual level before the parliamentarians can sit down to employ harsh penalties for defaulters. Subsequently, governments should then impose policies to ensure the actions and efforts of the citizens are bolstered. Ultimately with the collective efforts of both governments and their citizens, the world can become a better place for everyone.

In conclusion, this essay argued why people who believe that the general population has nothing to contribute to preserving the environment have a flawed understanding of the events which lead to environmental damage. In my opinion, people should lead in the struggle to limit environmental devastation, and the governments can reinforce the actions by means of policies.
