Noise & Bus or Taxi IELTS Speaking Part 1 Questions With Answer.
Question 1. How is the noise level in your city?
Answer – Currently, I am staying in Patna, and the noise level here is very high. It’s horrible. I have seen people honking unnecessarily while driving. On top of that, many trucks and tractors play regional songs in their vehicle in very high volume. They do not realize by doing so, and they are increasing noise pollution, which is not good for the environment.
Question 2. Where does noise in urban areas come from?
Answer – Mainly it comes from the vehicle, in rural areas people use old vehicles more, which tend to make more noise comparatively new one or if serviced on a regular basis. Apart from this, during festivals and marriages, songs are being played on a very high volume. So, I think this also affects the noise level in urban areas.
Question 3. Do you think it is important to be alone sometimes?
Answer – Yes, one must spend time with themselves that too on a regular basis, it helps them to make the right decision, to plan the future, to analyze themselves. I agree there are people who can help us in making decisions, but at the end of the day it’s our life and we must think about it. I love doing it quite frequently.
Question 4. What is the importance of belonging to a certain group?
Answer – It’s good to be in a group, but again it depends on what type of people are there in the group. As people, nature is the most important for a group to be successful or unsuccessful. If helping people are there, it will make a nice memorable group. If selfish people are there, the group will not last long.
Question 5. What are the problems you could have if you go out together in a big group?
Answer – The main problem with being in a group is there is no privacy, one cannot do anything special on their own for them they need to think for the whole group. Thinking only for them will make them selfish. I was on a religious trip a few years ago with my neighbours. We had the same problem as their budget was very limited for hotels and dining and shopping. As a result, we also couldn’t do much for ourselves.
Question 6. How often do you take the bus?
Answer – I do not use the bus on a regular basis, but a few years ago, when I was in UAE, I used a water bus 2-3 times. It was so fun to use that for sightseeing. I really enjoyed that. A water bus can ride on the road and also in the sea, which was the best part of the ride.
Question 7. When was the first time you took a taxi?
Answer – I do not exactly remember my first taxi ride but can remember once when I visited Kolkata with my parents; I was too young. That time was in 1998—quite a long time. But my last taxi ride was in Dubai when I was coming back to the airport.
Question 8. What are the advantages of taking a taxi compared with buses?
Answer – There are advantages and disadvantages both for these rides. The taxi ride is expensive, it’s faster as it will directly take you to the destination, more personalized ride as you are the only one travelling (if not shared with others) whereas, the Bus ride is cheaper, but need to travel along with another passenger, you might not get a seat as per your preference, and it takes times because it will stop on different stops which makes the ride lengthier and annoying.
Question 9. Is it convenient to take the bus/taxi in your city?
Answer – Currently, I live in Patna; I never got the chance to use bus services here. But I have heard and also seen that the conditions of the buses are very bad, not hygienic at all. In my opinion, a taxi will be a better choice.
