This essay will discuss the main causes of change in eating habits, including deficiency of time and influences by commercial advertisements for fast food. This essay will also suggest solutions to these problems, including time management and applying taxes on commercial advertisements.

To begin with, the competitive domain forces people to work for longer hours than ever before. Similarly, people seek to acquire new knowledge and skill in their free time to stay relevant in their workplace. Hence, they do not have time to cook meals. Another main reason for changing diets is due to influence of commercial advertisements. For instance, many celebrities encourage their supporters to consume junk food by marketing them as yummy and healthy. Therefore, this often results in physical suffering because fast food contains excessive fats and harmful chemicals.

In order to improve eating habits, every individual should be taught to develop skills regarding time management. In addition, to cut down the consumption of fast food, the government should increase the tax on it. Indeed every human beings are cost-conscious. Also, junk food is way cheaper. To exemplify, chips and burgers are almost half the price of salad and fruits. In order to control this issue, the government must apply heavy taxes on unhealthy products, which will, in turn, motivate pupils to manage time for cooking healthy foods.
