Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily since the middle of the nineteenth century. The map below shows the development of the village. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the development of the village. You should write at least 150 words.


Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily

The Map illustrates the development of the village Chorleywood (between 1868 and 1994), which is situated near London, whose population has increased continuously since the middle of the nineteenth century.

Initially, there was the main road from south-west to Northwest and second was North-west to North-east, Later motorway was built in 1970 from South-East to North-east which cross the main road, there was a railway track which was built in 1909 from South-west to South-east. Lastly, in-between all this track, there is a Chorleywood park and golf course.

In the year 1868-83, there was a construction in the west side of a golf course near the main road; later in the year 1883-1922, there was a construction of Chorleywood station on the south-west and both the side of the railway track. And from the year 1922-70 there was a development in very south-west and also in between main roads and motorway towards the south of the track, lastly from the year 1970 to 1994 there was a development in both the side of the motorway.

Overall, over the span of 126 years, there was a drastic development in Chorleywood village, including transportation facility.
