Some People Think That Uniforms at School Are Unnecessary and Should Be Banned

Some people think that uniforms at school are unnecessary and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion and examples from your own experience.

Some people say that dress codes at school are not necessary and should be banned in wearing uniforms in school. I partially agree with this line of thought. Ideas enunciated further in my discourse will give my point of view.

On the one hand, some people think that uniform is unnecessary to wear in the school and should be banned by the higher authority of schools because the dress that is designed for pupils to wear are very expensive and due to that middle-class people could not afford to purchase the uniform for their children. Another reason behind this is every year school management changes uniform colour and shapes due to which it would be difficult for the parents to buy the new uniform every year for the students. Because of this fact, many pupils are unavailable to study in reputed schools, and they need to study in government schools.

On the other hand, a group of people argue that it is essential to wear a uniform in schools because it represents a unique symbol and signifies the school structure and reputation in the country. If pupils wear this uniform, then it represents student’s attitude, behaviour and punctuality towards the rules and regulations set by the higher authority of the school. It is also necessary to wear a uniform because it would represent the pupil’s identity, and these dressing antiquities will definitely help them in their professional career path in the future.

To conclude, in my opinion, the school should design the uniform so that it would be last – long for many years and should be economical and easily available for the students so that they could afford to buy uniforms and study in the reputed schools.
